Major Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute workover/intervention operations on unconventional wells, including tubing change-outs, well recompletions, artificial lift upgrades, P&A, fishing operations (Example: operations planning for remedial workovers in unconventional onshore well
• Manage rig contractors, intervention service companies, and multiple contractors to deliver operations on time and on budget
• Effectively manage well intervention systems and rig-based workover operations including but not limited to snubbing, coiled tubing, wireline, fishing, stimulation and workover rigs
• Execute well planning using data-driven cost estimation, scheduling, risk assessment, well-control planning, barrier strategy, and mobilization logistics
• Analyze performance and drive cost/schedule improvement identifying root causes of delays, non-productive time (NPT), cost overruns and propose corrective actions
• Balance technical excellence with cost control, schedule discipline, and organizational growth objectives
• Support the selection and management of operational service providers, including tenders, contracts, and vendor performance, to ensure high-quality service delivery, technical reliability, and cost efficiency
• Engage rig/field teams, service contractors, cross-functional engineering, operations, completion and production groups to successfully complete projects; present to senior management

Education, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5-10 years of upstream E&P engineering experience (workover/intervention/rig-based operations) in land/unconventional settings
• Well control certification (e.g., IADC, IWCF) and deep appreciation of well-barrier management, rig safety, and HSE culture
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Drilling and/or Completion engineering exposure: well planning, directional drilling, well completions design, stimulation or artificial lift experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with industry software for well intervention, project tracking tools, data analytics or dashboards (e.g., WellView, Spotfire, PowerBI) is beneficial

• High level of proficiency in PowerBi/Spotfire, WellView, and Well Planning and Scheduling software

Physical Requirements

This role may involve work in office and active drilling/completion/workover site environments. The employee must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, walking, climbing, working outdoors, wearing required PPE, traveling to field locations, and working around drilling equipment, high-pressure systems, noise, chemicals, and changing weather conditions. The employee is expected to follow all company and regulatory safety requirements and to exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
