Major Responsibilities
• Secure leases, options, rights-of-way, and agreements covering land and mineral rights for producing and drilling oil & gas wells. Conduct business development and build relationships with industry partners to identify, pursue, and acquire E&P opportunities.
• Negotiate, analyze, and draft land-related contracts, including farmouts, production sharing agreements, lease exchange agreements, purchase and sale agreements, participation agreements, exploration joint venture agreements, and joint operating agreements
• Manage land functions in support of a multi-rig drilling program
• Execute concurrent workstreams in accordance with established procedures
• Assemble and analyze data supporting commercial acreage activities and lease agreements
• Coordinate land-related activities requiring state regulatory approval
• Lead pre-drill land activities, including well site acquisition and preparation, title curative, well proposals, and pooling and support agreements
Education, Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management (PLM), or related field
• Minimum 5 years of land experience, Eagle Ford preferred, in-house experience preferred
• Proven track record of independently managing and negotiating all facets of land work
• Ability to manage land activities across ongoing drilling programs in multiple project areas
• Broad knowledge of onshore title work, leasing, pooling and unitization, farmouts, operating agreements, production sharing agreements, trades, and joint venture arrangements, with emphasis on the maintenance and administration of producing properties

Physical Requirements
This role may involve work in office and outdoors. The employee must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing on and walking over uneven terrain, working outdoors in changing weather conditions, wearing required PPE, and traveling to field location. The employee is expected to follow all company and regulatory safety requirements and to exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
