Major Responsibilities
• Provide project controls and reporting to enable predictive and disciplined cost management
• Responsible for oversight, review, and analysis and of daily, weekly or monthly cost and progress reports
• Track field cost estimates relative to budget, commitments and actuals to include invoice reconciliation
• Interface with scheduling and procurement to ensure all critical items are reflected in cost report
• Stay up to date on project budgets and project spending forecasts and assist with any revisions to commitments and AFE
• Manage reporting for engineering and management to review project cost tracking and cost forecasts
• Supports business planning and finance activities including regular updates to forecasts, accruals and cashflow management
• Recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement process
• Provide suggestions for cost reduction opportunities in project
• Contribute in developing yearly operation plans, budgets, and estimating new product costs, including economic analysis
• Oversee process that tracks the status for every individual AFE generated through approval to the appropriate DOA level
Education, Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in related field is desired; high school diploma or equivalent combined with work experience may be substituted
• 3 – 5 years of cost analysis, project controls, accounting, finance, or operations analysis experience
• Experience in upstream oil and gas required or strongly preferred
• Experience supporting capital projects, drilling and completions, facilities, production operations, LOE, or asset development preferred
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, cost tracking, and management reporting
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization
• Aptitude to succeed in a stressful and deadline-oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of Information Systems and MS Excel, Spotfire and Data integration
