Major Responsibilities

• Supervise construction of drilling pads, production facilities, access roads, tank batteries, containment systems, pipelines, water infrastructure, and related upstream surface facilities
• Manage daily field construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with company standards
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, inspectors, surveyors, engineers, operations personnel, land, regulatory, and HSE teams
• Review construction drawings, site plans, specifications, permits, and scopes of work prior to and during execution
• Ensure drilling pads are properly constructed to support drilling, completions, production, and future operational needs
• Oversee site preparation, clearing, grading, excavation, compaction, drainage, road construction, fencing, containment, and reclamation-related activities
• Oversee construction and installation of production facilities, including separators, tanks, treaters, meters, pumps, compressors, piping, electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and safety systems
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment utilization, productivity, quality, and compliance with project requirements
• Enforce safety expectations, environmental requirements, permit conditions, and company field standards
• Conduct daily field meetings, safety reviews, job walks, construction inspections, and progress updates
• Identify construction issues, design conflicts, material delays, cost impacts, and schedule risks; escalate and resolve issues as needed
• Track project progress, daily activity, field changes, work quantities, contractor time, materials, and costs
• Validate completed work against drawings, specifications, and company quality standards
• Support commissioning, startup, punch list completion, turnover, and handoff to operations
• Coordinate with operations to minimize disruption to existing production and ensure facilities are built for safe, reliable long-term operation
• Support construction planning, cost estimating, scheduling, contractor bid reviews, and project lookbacks
• Maintain accurate construction records, daily reports, redlines, as-built information, photos, inspection records, and project documentation
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, cost discipline, and operational excellence

Education, Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in petroleum technology, instrumentation, mechanics, operations, or a related field preferred
• 10+ years of upstream oil and gas experience required preferably in South Texas
• 7+ years of supervisory or foreman-level experience preferred
• Experience overseeing construction of drilling pads, access roads, production facilities, tank batteries, gathering infrastructure, water handling facilities, and related surface infrastructure
• Experience managing civil construction, earthwork, grading, drainage, containment, roads, foundations, structural work, mechanical installation, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning support
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors, vendors, inspectors, surveyors, engineers, land, operations, HSE, and regulatory personnel
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, site layouts, facility designs, P&IDs, specifications, permits, and scopes of work
• Experience managing construction schedules, field execution, contractor performance, safety requirements, quality standards, and project costs
• Ability to plan and execute drilling pad construction, production facility construction, and related infrastructure projects safely and efficiently
• Strong understanding of civil construction, site preparation, roads, drainage, containment, fencing, foundations, equipment setting, piping, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Strong contractor management, field leadership, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify field risks, resolve construction conflicts, and communicate issues quickly
• Strong documentation, reporting, and cost tracking skills
• Proficiency with construction drawings, project schedules, daily reports, punch lists, cost tracking tools, and basic Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements

• Required to travel to field locations
• Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds on regular basis and occasionally lift/ move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
• Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
