Major Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily construction activities for drilling pads, production facilities, access roads, tank batteries, containment systems, water infrastructure, and related surface projects
• Direct field crews, contractors, equipment operators, and laborers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements
• Support the Construction Superintendent in executing project plans, schedules, scopes of work, and company construction standards
• Review daily work plans, job assignments, drawings, site layouts, materials, and equipment needs
• Monitor field work to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental requirements, permits, specifications, and company procedures
• Conduct or participate in tailgate safety meetings, job safety analyses, site inspections, and hazard assessments
• Oversee site preparation, clearing, grading, excavation, compaction, drainage, road work, fencing, containment, and general civil construction activities
• Support installation of production facility equipment, piping, supports, foundations, electrical components, instrumentation, and safety systems
• Coordinate delivery and use of materials, tools, equipment, and third-party services
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, work quality, equipment usage, and manpower
• Identify field issues, safety concerns, material shortages, schedule conflicts, and quality concerns; communicate promptly to the Superintendent
• Verify completed work against drawings, specifications, and instructions
• Assist with punch lists, commissioning support, startup preparation, cleanup, turnover, and handoff to operations
• Maintain accurate daily reports, crew activity logs, time records, material usage, photos, inspection checklists, and other field documentation
• Help control costs by monitoring labor, equipment, materials, rework, and contractor efficiency
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement

Education, Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 10+ years of construction or field operations experience, preferably in upstream oil and gas
• Experience supporting construction of drilling pads, access roads, production facilities, tank batteries, containment systems, water infrastructure, pipelines, and related surface facilities
• Experience overseeing small crews, contractors, subcontractors, equipment operators, and laborers in a field environment
• Experience with civil construction, earthwork, grading, drainage, compaction, roads, foundations, equipment setting, piping, mechanical installation, electrical support, and site cleanup
• Experience reading and interpreting basic construction drawings, site layouts, scopes of work, specifications, and safety requirements
• Ability to coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and contractors in the field
• Strong safety awareness and ability to enforce company and contractor safety expectations
• Practical problem-solving skills and ability to address changing field conditions
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Basic proficiency with mobile devices, email, daily reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications preferred

Physical Requirements

• Required to travel to field locations
• Required to work overtime, as needed
• Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds on regular basis and occasionally lift/ move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
• Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
