Major Responsibilities

• Execute tasks as directed by the Field Control Room
• Gas Lift Systems: Adjust injection rates, optimize surface compression, and troubleshoot valve failures, injection point issues, and pressure imbalances using surveillance and pressure surveys to maximize efficient production
• Plunger Lift Systems: Configure controllers, plunger types, and cycle timing; analyze arrivals, fluid loads, and wear to troubleshoot stuck plungers and optimize production rates
• Rod Pump Systems: Diagnose pump-off, rod wear, fluid pound, and gas interference using dynamometer cards; coordinate pulls/repairs and utilize VSDs/timers to balance production and equipment longevity
• Restore production to flowing wells via swabbing and open top tank unloading procedures.
• Capture and record daily efforts/ paperwork/reports (electronically)
• Act as onsite company representative to oversee contractor work
• Artificial Lift Operations: Monitor, adjust, troubleshoot, and optimize gas lift, plunger lift, and rod pump systems while thoroughly understanding and contributing to company operating procedures to maximize well performance
• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Strictly adhere to all HSE policies, utilize proper PPE and lockout/tagout procedures, exercise stop-work authority, report incidents and near misses promptly, and ensure safe practices by all personnel on location
• Field & Regulatory Compliance: Safely operate and maintain company vehicles across varied road conditions, maintain full compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines, and perform additional duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Well Control certified
• Relevant operator experience required - position level will be determined based on candidate’s experience and proven competency level:
o Level I requires 2+ years
o Level II requires 5+ years
o Level III requires 8+ years
• Experience assembling/dissembling and maintaining equipment
• Mechanical knowledge
• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Strong ability to understand and adhere to processes
• Must be able to promote cooperation and work effectively as part of a team

Required Competencies

• Safety & Compliance Focus: Strong commitment to safety policies, site-specific plans, and regulatory requirements, with the confidence to exercise stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe, unclear, or outside procedure
• Artificial Lift Expertise: Hands-on experience with gas lift, plunger lift, and rod pump systems, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to see the big picture, and translate insights into effective field actions
• Collaborative & High-Performance Mindset: Driven team player with strong work ethic, integrity, continuous improvement mindset, and agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment; collaborates effectively across the field organization, challenges norms, shares ideas openly, and delivers successful outcomes with a commitment to team success

Physical Requirements

• Required to travel to field locations
• Required to work overtime, as needed
• Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds on regular basis and occasionally lift/ move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
• Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
