Major Responsibilities

• Execute work orders as directed by the field control room
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, etc. on various field equipment including, but not limited to, engines, generators, dehydrators, pumps, separators, valves, meters, tanks, and related production equipment to support production up time
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and complete repairs timely
• Properly tune engines; restart engines and put them back online as needed
• Support installation, startup/shutdown, commissioning/decommissioning for field equipment
• Work closely with field disciplines to resolve operational issues; respond to Operators’ requests when they are unable to diagnose problems
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential reliability or safety concerns; inspect equipment for wear, leaks, vibration, corrosion, pressure issues, and other abnormal conditions
• Recommend improvements to reduce downtime, improve reliability, and extend equipment life
• Assist with root cause investigations related to recurring equipment failures
• Equipment Maintenance & Reliability: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls on oil and gas production equipment including pumps, compressors, engines, valves, separators, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Compliance, Safety & Procedures: Thoroughly understand and comply with company operating procedures, state, and federal regulations; strictly follow all HSE policies, use proper PPE and lockout/tagout procedures, exercise stop-work authority, report incidents and near misses promptly, and ensure safe work practices by all personnel and contractors.
• Field Operations & Oversight: Safely operate and maintain company vehicle across paved and unpaved rural roads; complete required daily electronic paperwork and reports; act as onsite company representative to oversee contractor work; contribute to the development of new or improved procedures; and perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant operator experience required - position level will be determined based on candidate’s experience and proven competency level:
o Level I requires 2+ years
o Level II requires 5+ years
o Level III requires 8+ years
• High level troubleshooting skills; able to work on all field-associated equipment
• In-depth mechanical and electrical knowledge and an understanding of gas properties and flow
• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Strong ability to understand and adhere to processes
• Must be able to promote cooperation and work effectively as part of a team

• Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of production equipment including pumps, compressors, engines, separators, valves, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; proficient reading schematics, using precision tools, and applying root-cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve reliability
• Collaborative & Adaptive Mindset: High-energy team player with agility and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment; works collaboratively across field operations, production, and contractors while confidently challenging norms and sharing technical insights
• Professional Attributes: Driven continuous improvement mindset with strong work ethic, personal integrity, and a proven track record of successful outcomes and team success

Physical Requirements

• Required to travel to field locations
• Required to work overtime, as needed
• Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds on regular basis and occasionally lift/ move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
• Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
