Major Responsibilities
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for drill pad construction, drilling, completions, tubulars, and workover service providers, tenders, contracts, and vendor technical performance—ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost efficiency
• Support commercial negotiations, bid evaluations, and vendor selection processes to optimize cost, quality, and operational performance
• Develop and maintain vendor scorecards and KPI tracking for operational and commercial performance
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain risks to proactively identify optimization opportunities to present to the engineering and operations teams
• Assist in development and administration of MSAs, pricing agreements, and service contracts
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, land, accounting, and field teams to drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze service provider spend, contract utilization, and service performance to identify CAPEX reduction opportunities and improve operational efficiency
• Develop commercial dashboards tracking cost and performance goals
• Support the Drilling, Completions, and Workover Teams, as well as the Leadership Team, in necessary project work and presentations
• Collecting and analyzing drilling and completions data from multiple systems (e.g., WellView, WITSML feeds, field reports, cost systems)
• Develop dashboards using analytics platforms (Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau) to track KPIs such as ROP, NPT, cost per foot, and stage efficiency
Education, Experience & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree, in Engineering Technology, Supply Chain/Industrial Distribution, or similar
• Equivalent experience working in supply chain management or data analytics capacity with an oil and gas operator will also be considered in lieu of a specific degree program
• 3–6+ years of relevant experience supporting drilling or completions teams in an E&P environment
• Previous experience with unconventional resource plays
• Strong proficiency with drilling/completions/workover software and financial systems (e.g., WellView, OpenWells, ARIES, OpenInvoice, OpenTicket, SAP, or similar)
• Strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, Python, or Excel advanced modeling
• Understanding of drilling and completions terminology, well schematics, and field operations
• Strong communication and visualization skills — ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
• Understanding of AFE processes and cost performance analysis
• Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment
