Major Responsibilities

• Support development planning and execution for upstream oil and gas assets
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project planning for drilling, completions, facilities, production, infrastructure, and operations
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, economic evaluations, risk assessments, and execution plans with a multidisciplinary team consisting of reservoir engineering, geology, drilling, completions, facilities, operations, regulatory, land, and accounting
• Develop budgets and track capital project performance against approved budgets, schedules, production expectations, and business objectives
• Support annual development planning, budgeting, reserves planning, and capital allocation processes
• Evaluate development alternatives and recommend project options that optimize value, cost, timing, and operational efficiency
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, milestones, and decision points
• Prepare technical and economic materials for management reviews, capital approvals, and asset planning discussions
• Support project lookbacks, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence, and asset evaluations as needed
• Ensure projects are planned and executed in alignment with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company standards

Education, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline required
• Professional Engineer license preferred but not required
• Minimum 5 years of upstream oil & gas engineering experience
• Experience supporting development planning, capital projects, drilling and completions coordination, facilities planning, or asset development required
• Experience managing both greenfield and brownfield projects from concept through execution and commissioning
• Experience with unconventional resource development preferred
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including reservoir, geology, land, regulatory, operations, facilities, drilling, completions, finance, and supply chain and communicate effectively
• Strong understanding of upstream development workflows, project economics, capital planning, production forecasting, and field development execution
• Ability to prepare project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, risk assessments, and economic evaluations
• Knowledge of drilling, completions, production, facilities, infrastructure, and midstream interfaces
• Strong project management, data analysis, communication, and decision-support skills
• Proficiency with Excel, project management tools, economic evaluation tools, and technical databases

Physical Requirements

This role will involve work in office and field. The candidate must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, walking, climbing, working outdoors, wearing required PPE, traveling to field locations, and working around facility equipment, high-pressure systems, noise, chemicals, and changing weather conditions. The employee is expected to follow all company and regulatory safety requirements and to exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
