Major Responsibilities
• Collaborate with multifunctional technical teams on overall development plan
• Design, support, direct, and monitor the completion plan and workover program for both new wells and existing producing wells
• Interface with the asset team and finance team on an ongoing basis to plan and optimize development of the asset
• Monitor, track, benchmark, and improve completion performance through technology and efficient operations
• Seek out new and innovative technologies to both enhance production and reduce costs
• Evaluate and support the selection and management of D&C service providers, tenders, contracts, and vendor technical performance—ensuring high-quality service delivery and cost efficiency
• Develop and manage detailed cost-estimates, data-driven AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure), schedules, detailed operational programs, basis of design and operating practice standards, and engineering analysis projects; Track and report operational cost, time, and performance metrics to senior leadership, and QC daily operational data to maintain quality database(s)
• Lead internal completion design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor performance meetings for assigned wells
• Provide full-time completion engineering support to assigned operations
• Monitor daily morning reports and work with field staff to ensure accuracy of data and sufficiency of supporting details
• Expected to have the ability and willingness to travel (typically to rig sites, service provider facilities, meetings, etc. to support operations and to develop productive relationships
Education, Experience & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 8-10 years of experience completing unconventional horizontal oil and gas wells
• Well control certification (e.g., IADC, IWCF) and deep appreciation of well-barrier management, rig safety, and HSE culture
• Proficiency in cased-hole operations (stimulation, coiled tubing, wireline, workover) required.
• Experience with wireline, coiled tubing, work over, stimulation, and well control activities.
• Familiarity with Wellview, Enersight, Cerberus, Fracture Modeling, PowerBi/Spotfire, and other completion related programs is a plus

Physical Requirements
This role may involve work in office and active drilling/completion/workover site environments. The employee must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, walking, climbing, working outdoors, wearing required PPE, traveling to field locations, and working around drilling equipment, high-pressure systems, noise, chemicals, and changing weather conditions. The employee is expected to follow all company and regulatory safety requirements and to exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
